Our History

Jav agencies was established in Port Elizabeth during August 1977. The founding members being Des and Joan White. Initially, we only covered Port Elizabeth and the surrounding area, but within the first year we incorporated the East London and Border areas. By 2001 we had grown to such a degree that the natural progression was to incorporate the Garden Route and the Western Cape into our area (coverage). This move was sanctioned by our main suppliers Scotsman ice machines and Staycold.

The inclusion of this area had a huge impact on our business and resulted in our client base increasing to such a degree that in September 2006 we appointed our son Clyde White and based him in Cape Town as our branch manager. Although our head office is still based in Port Elizabeth we acquired premises at Millenium Park in Parow, Cape Town which is now our Cape Town base. In 2009 after three successful years with the company Clyde was appointed as the 3rd member of Jav Agencies cc.

Today we boast a client base of some 450 dealers although our main suppliers remain Scotsman and Staycold we can source almost any commercial or industrial refrigeration equipment for our dealer network.
